Pseudokarst at Strážiště – a cave above the river Zábrdka
Rock towers, caves, ledges and windows ... Nature was really playful in the calcareous sandstone at Strážiště, offering a different face of her art.
What will you see? A pseudokarst cave, a rock window, rock ledges, rock towers ... These very interesting rock formations developed in the calcareous sandstone above the left bank of the river Zábrdka. There are two rock towers in the area, with a rock tunnel developed below one of them. Nearby is a ledge with huge honeycombs. You can also see a small blind rock gate (natural arch). Perhaps the most interesting local shape is the pseudokarst cave with a length of 15 metres which has two floors. On top of all the attractions, you can even find a well-developed rock window.
