Čihadlo – sandstone menhirs on the bank of the Máchovo jezero (Lake Mácha)
A group of isolated sandstone rocks rises from the low pine forest. The biggest of them offers a beautiful view of the area.
What will you see? Unique silicified sandstone towers, a broad view ... Isolated rock towers suddenly rise in the middle of a low pine forest, some having the shape of rock walls. They are formed of very hard, considerably silicified sandstone. You can also see massive quartz veins. One of the rocks, called Havířská věž (Miners’ Tower), has the shape of a narrow rock needle when observed from the front view. The top of the biggest rock is accessible from one side, offering an amazing view of the surroundings – for example, the Bezděz and Starý Bernštejn castles and the nearby peaks of Borný and Havířský vrch (Miners’ Hill).
