Rockslide – find your fossil
Huge sandstone boulders scattered in the pine forest suggest that something big happened here in the past ...
What will you see? A sandstone rock outcrop, a rockslide, fossils, ichnofossils ... The fallen sandstone boulders coming from a rockslide show a large number of fossils – shell imprints. You can also find small tubes resembling fossilized branches in the rocks. These are ichnofossils – the remnants of the activity of animals that once lived on the seabed when this area was under the sea. Looking at the fallen boulders, you will find it easier to realize how fragile sandstone actually is.
